Bad Idea:

“Per thrush, when I went to my Dr about the infection from my IV, I asked if he
had anything else he could use besides the yucky rinse prescribed by Dr R. He
did, it was a one time pill, much easier and better for me, I took that and the
thrush is now gone. Its alot better than gargling 4 times a day with the other
nasty stuff.”

Thrush after MGB is annoying and unpleasant but Not Dangerous

The “one time pill for thrush is::
Diflucan Generic Name: fluconazole (floo KOE na zole)
What is Diflucan?
Diflucan (fluconazole ) is an antifungal antibiotic.
Diflucan is also used to prevent fungal infection in people with
weak immune systems caused by cancer treatment, bone marrow
transplant, or diseases such as AIDS.
What is the most important information I should know about Diflucan?
Do not use this medication if you are allergic to Diflucan, or
similar drugs such as clotrimazole (Lotrimin), econazole (Spectazole),
ketoconazole (Nizoral), miconazole (Monistat), sertaconazole
(Ertaczo), sulconazole (Exelderm), terconazole (Terazol), tioconazole
(Vagistat-1), or voriconazole (Vfend). Do not use Diflucan if you are

Oral thrush

“For healthy adults and children: If you’re a healthy adult or child
with oral thrush, eating unsweetened yogurt or taking acidophilus
capsules or liquid may help lessen your infection. Yogurt and
acidophilus don’t destroy the fungus, but they can help restore the
normal bacterial flora in your body. If your infection persists, your
doctor will prescribe an antifungal medication.”

Warning!
“*** Some antifungal medications may cause liver damage.*** For this
reason, your doctor will likely perform blood tests to monitor your
liver function,
*** especially if have a history of liver disease. ***”

Liver disease + Diflucan may be Dangerous and in rare cases deadly

We strongly recommend Nystatin instead of Diflucan for fear of deadly
liver damage

PS Sorry about the taste
